Port of Kalama announces short-term road closure for railroad upgrades

Hendrickson Drive just south of the marina will be closed to recreational traffic from April 25 to May 16; boaters seeking access to marina should take exit 30

Kalama, WA (April 23, 2014)—In order to accommodate scheduled railroad upgrades and maintenance, the Port of Kalama announces a short-term road closure of Hendrickson Drive just south of the marina and Marine Park. Businesses south of the park and marina have been notified and will not be impacted.

In order to avoid construction, recreational visitors and boaters should plan on taking exit 30 in Kalama. There will not be marina access from the south Todd Road exit.

Reader boards and signs have been placed at all exits to guide the public to alternate routes. This portion of Hendrickson Drive will be reopened to all Port traffic on Saturday, May 17.

Railworks and the Port apologize for any inconvenience while some facilities are upgraded.
