Port of Kalama Commission awards contract for construction of Haydu Park to Tapani Inc.

Construction is expected to commence this fall

Kalama, WA (August 14, 2014)—The Port of Kalama Board of Commissioners has awarded the bid for the construction of Haydu Park—a part of the recent East Port annexation —to Tapani Inc., a family owned and operated heavy civil contractorbased in Battle Ground, Washington. Because the prices bid were very competitive, the Commission also approved the alternate bids for the construction of tennis and basketball courts as well as asphalt for pathways and overflow parking. Construction of Haydu Park is scheduled to begin this fall and is expected to be complete by the second quarter of 2015 .

Scope of Work: All labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, testing, training, and supervision for the construction of Haydu Community Park, including site preparation, grading, utilities, wastewater pump station, roads (park & right of way), parking lots, walks, buildings, storm drainage, ball fields, landscaping, irrigation and related park improvements.
